FAQ & Technical Support
OTE is set up to make it as easy as possible for Sellers to create a profile and a catalog of products. There is already a rich array of tools to use in presenting your products to buyers and for buyers to search for sources on the site.
We will be adding many more features as the site grows and is populated.
Control panel
Once you sign up, click on the link in the confirmation Email you will return to the site where you can now login to your account. You will come to your profile page where you can set up and manage your company and contact information.

Profile tab
"Manage Profile" contains the basic contact name and address of your company.
You will want to look at "your public URL" located here. Click on Change and change the last part of the address to your liking. (Example: http://www.onlinetradeexpo.com/seller/YOUR COMPANY NAME) This is the URL you may use to link to your profile page from any external location.
"Additional Info"entries will not be public.
"Contacts", according to your membership type will allow you to have a primary phone number and Email and 1 website URL up to multiple numbers and email addresses and website URLs.
Members who have Preferred accounts may have unlimited numbers and emails and website URLs. If you need more numbers or emails than the profile control panel allows please contact support to add them for you.
This information will be publicly visible to other members on your profile page.
"Representation Images" is where you may upload up to three images that are representational of the product line(s) you sell or services you offer. These will be visible on your profile entry. These images can be anything you want, logos, brands, products etc. that represent you. Preferred mambers or above may contact support to customize this feature.
Products tab
Tab is where you may upload the info and images for your product catalog.
How to add products?
To start, click on "Add Product" at the top of the panel. You will then be asked to select the Section, Group and Category for the product you are adding. Each product is entered this way so you may have products of varying types that fall into different groups, sections and categories.



NOTE - If you do not find a category that fits your product closely enough, please contact support and we will add one for you.
After you have chosen the product's category the panel will open fields to add your product information.
Title - can be a product name, model or style number, or whatever you use for listing and ordering.
You can add Price, Description and select from a number of attributes. Any of this info is optional and we will be making other features to enhance your listings in the near future.
At the bottom of this panel is the "UPLOAD PHOTOS" button. Clicking this will open a window where you may choose image files from your computer and upload them to your catalog. Upload all your images (up to 8) before clicking "SUBMIT". (Don't worry, you can always add or edit them later) Once you click SUBMIT the item is added to your catalog and can be seen under the Products tab.
Image Specifications - Ideally Images should be .jpg or .gif files around 800pixels wide. OTE will automatically create thumbnails and the various sizes needed throughout the site. Smaller than 500pixels wide is not recommended as the quality of the images suffers and it will not accurately reflect your products. Good clear photography helps to sell your products. Note: A square format is recommended, but not required. Uniform sizes and dimensions make your catalog look better.
"My products" all the products in your catalog will be listed here. You may switch from an Image List view to a Text List view. The product you select will show a preview of the images and descriptions in the panel. You can click EDIT PRODUCT or Delete your product here.
Exhibit places tab
This tab shows that your "Booth" is enabled (or not).
Setting Up Your "Booth" on the Showroom Page.

Setting up your "booth" is easy. From the site home page navigate to the Group and Section where you identify your products using the menu on the left sidebar. You will see a Floorplan background and a red button that reads "SELECT EXHIBIT SPACE" - Click on this button and the floorplan will become active.
As you drag your cursor over the floorplan find your ideal location and select any available space that fits the parameters of your subscription (50X50, 100X100, 200X200) and click on that space.
A window will open up showing you pertinent information about that space and your plan. Click the Blue "ATTACH" button and your logo or graphic will be attached to and fill the space. Anyone clicking on that "booth" will see a pop up window of your profile which also links to your whole profile and catalog.
Please be sure to select a space that is supported by the membership plan you have signed up with.
You will receive an error message if you select a larger booth size than your plan allows. If your plan allows for a larger space you may elect to take two or more smaller spaces to "spread" your logo around the page, or go for the larger presence. The option is yours. Below is a chart that shows scientific analysis of how visitors' eyes travel when visiting a web page.
Subscriptions tab
This tab lists all the Member subscription plans and details about them.
You may select and upgrade your subscription here. Click in the round radio button to select the plan you want, check the "accept_plan_now" box and click "UPGRADE". You will be taken to a gateway to pay for your subscription.
The plan you have subscribed to will be hilighted with a blue diagonal stripe saying "SUBSCRIBED" in the upper right hand corner of that plan. If you do not see that stripe please contact support. At the top of the tab panel, clicking "Subscriptions Schedule" will show your membership history and status.
Settings tab
Three selections to receive emails, hide your products or hide your email.
We suggest to check the first box, if it isn't already to allow emails to be received. The others may be used while setting up your profile, but obviously you don't want to hide your contact info and products if you are on here to promote them.
Orders
This tab will list any Purchase Orders that have been sent to you through OTE. Future updates will add more features to this application.
